How to Unlock Acura and Honda Radio Codes
If the radio or navigation system on your Honda or Acura model is disconnected from electrical power for any reason, you may be prompted to re-enter your radio or navigation code to restart the system.
There are a number of reasons that this might happen. It could occur due to issues with the car battery or when the radio or navigation unit is disconnected from the vehicle during the course of regular maintenance or cleaning. If your Acura or Honda car is from the 2013 model year or newer…
You can recover the Acura or Honda radio or navigation code by pressing and holding the system's power button for 3-5 seconds. You will hear a beep and the system will unlock without the need for a navigation code. If that method does not work, you can retrieve your radio or navigation code from the Acura or Honda MyGarage portal linked on this page.
If your Acura or Honda car is from the 2012 model year or older…
You can retrieve the radio or navigation code from the Acura or Honda MyGarage site. Simply enter the serial number on your Anti-Theft Identification Card, which is typically in your glove compartment. There also may be an Audio Unit Serial Number on a sticker on the left interior wall of the glove compartment or the left exterior wall of the glove compartment pullout. Once you've input the proper serial number, the Acura or Honda MyGarage portal will return the radio or navigation codes for your vehicle, which you can enter to unlock the radio or navigation system.
